Does anyone know if these are just a one size fits all with standard output shaft diameter, length and thread plus engine mounting bolt pattern?

If they are,

what else is out there, ideally cheapish preferably new to fit my 40 yo mower.

Wassamatter with you Parmster? A bit of Tcut and some elbow grease will bring it up like new

It did 20 years cutting grass way more serious than our lawn.

just wondering if they are standard output shaft dimensions…. If so, any old mower will act as a donor. If not, then it’s a load more complicated.

it'll be metric so a Honda would fit...it's nothing to change the engine bolt pattern.....
seriously, Just go buy an old Honda.....mines over 30 years old and still starts first time...

Only ever bought 2 petrol lawnmowers, 1st deck of which was welded multiple times but then the engine seized. 2nd one which I still have has had similar repairs over the years to keep it running I'm sure I've had it 15 years. Need a ride on now. Well need a lawn first then will need a ride on!

Tecumseh is a US co and given the age, likely an imperial shaft like 7/8ths or 3/4". I have a couple spare, good engines. 10 & 12 hp.

For a friend's rotovator, I bought a Loncin off the web. Horizontal shaft Honda clone and €100 delivered, or €150 with a 2:1 reduction and auto clutch...
