Teng digital calipers

Probably the dumbest question of the day, but I’m completely stumped - Anyone have any idea how to replace the battery in these calipers? I’ve tried removing the three screws holding the black plastic top, and it sort of moves a bit but not enough to lift off, even with what I think is unreasonable force. The slot next to where it says ‘Battery’ is nowhere near wide enough for the 2032 battery, and poking a blunt thing in doesn’t do anything (I thought it might be some sort of springy latch/clip).
I’ve also emailed Teng U.K. but no response, and looked on their website and elsewhere for instructions with no success. Really annoyed with myself not being capable of what should be a simple task

Looks to me like the screw attaches the housing to the beam and is nothing to do with it.

You can see a square of plastic that is stamped "battery", have you tried inserting a screwdriver into the gap and levering the lip of the square upwards - I suspect it is a battery tray that slides out.

Of course! To be honest I thought that was just a moulding line and it was all one solid piece. You can see why I used the smiley thing. Many thanks! (Photo attached on the slim chance that there is anyone else out there too dumb to work it out).
