There Be Dragons 'ere

This little beastie appeared from nowhere today in my workshop (shed)...

So I grabbed it and took it in the house...
then I realised his arms were on backwards, so back to the shed (er, workshop) to fix him up...
now he looks more comfortable...

now just needs his wings to finish growing so he can fly off to his new home...

Like that.
I made something similar for my boy when he was three.
He went daft and sulked for two days because I had ruined his best pliers.
Poor old Dad. the rotten sod even nicked my decent pliers which I never saw again.

Now I'm torn...Someone observed it looks more like a pterodactyl, due to the head/horn.
So, do I -
1) celebrate finding I've got a pterodactyl and aid its metamorphosis by docking the tail
or
2) perform some genetic changes to the horn, trying harder for a dragon...
or
3) let the wings grow but leave the rest as-is, and try for a dragon another time

I'm starting to like option 1...
What say you, friends?

I'd leave the tail as is and just run with it for the moment. It doesn't specifically need to be a certain design. End of the day, with a dragon being a mythical beast, you can make it look however you please and still call it a dragon.

Pterodactyl or pterosaur?
Pterodactyls were pterosaurs, there were loads of them.
Or you can make up a latin name and it becomes a real critter.
That is what I do.
My Great grandpa found it in a cave in Borneo, now go to a latin translator on google and find it a name.
eg Long Tailed Motor Dragon; Draco caudam dum motor turneri?
Now it has a Linnean name it is real.
Must finish Turneri (after my mythical Great Grandpa Jack Turner)..

They were donated to me as scrap (rusted solid); they cleaned up to nice & shiney but just couldn't make them work...

Now just gotta try to stop Alien ( Alien Metalli MigRonii ) from Eating it...
