Think i may have a slight problem...

Hello all you lovely clever people.
Slight issue I have just noticed o my compressor.
I was doing s bit of work on my mini using the belt sander nothing major when I walked over to the compressor to have s slurp of tea and saw there is oil sprayed out all over the place.... it seems to be coming out the full tube??? But only when the compressor stops. There's s kinda air leak out of it after the valve is to pressure but oils sprayed out... I'll try m upload s pic.... my new mats ruined. Lol

Sounds like the piston rings.

I'd check the none return valve in the tank first to make sure it's sealed when stopped. Dismantle the valve when the tank is empty and check for debris

Piston to do rings.... Ooh... hope not.
This non return valve I'll have a look at it later..
The oil only sprays out for like 1or 2 seconds just after the compressor built up pressure... as if it's leaking from the tank...

If it's the NRV you'll get prolonged leakage from the unloading valve on the pressure switch.

To pressurise the sump the air will have to get past the NRV, outlet valve in the head and the rings. Not saying that can't happen though.

Tank gets drained everytime I use it... I fitted a length of copper pipe and a ball valve at the end so it's easy to do.

Well lady's and gents undone the nut st the end of the nrv there's s spring and a runner bung... there was a bit of what looked like swarf... but same issue... so looking like a pump rebuild.... any suppliers and tips
It's a sip srb 150 but the pump has a kinda adapter plate... guessing pumps not original. Joys of eBay..

When was the last time you drained the tank? Are you sure its not full of oily water?

After draining the tank after work, I tip the compressor to make sure all the water is out of the tank in the morning before firing it back up. Always a cup full comes out

Yup.. it's coming from the full tube/breather pipe? Put a rag over it and fired it up and the oil sprays out a mist just after filling up... I'll try n record it.
So I'm ordering a non return and going to and identify the pump? They easy to rebuild?
