I had a hell of a job removing this swingarm bolt from my old Honda. Ended up with the damage as shown in the pic (don’t ask!)
Now I find these bolts are no longer available. My question is how best to attempt to ‘restore’ this mangled example. Could the damaged area be built up with a series of MIG beads, then turned to correct diameter for re-threading. Or would the newly deposited metal be too hard or too porous?
