Tig cart/table work in progress

Since moving out of my garage I've had to downsize my welding table as space is very limited in the shed.
I'm using just what's to hand other than the front two casters.
I've mainly used tig as I really need the practise, couple of bits I migged just to save a little time when I started to rain and had to pack up.
Left to do is strapping the bottle on and adding more hooks for the leads, thinking of adding some rod holders too.
Also the top will have some captive nuts for the vice to bolt to when needed.

One of the better beads, the wind makes tig a pain in the bum. Be much happier when I sort the shed out this week.

A pad I made for the front casters so they can be height adjustable.
It's only letting me put up one pic at a time.

All cuts were done with a plasma cutter so the fit ups aren't ideal

looking good so far. i have to make one of these for my little mig machine. hadn't thought of putting a vice on there though, will have to incorporate that

Clean that material man! it has to be bright and shiny to remove oil dirt and oxides ect. Looks like hot formed steel too.

I know I know! I couldn't be bothered to change out the wire wheel for a flap disc.
I'm hoping to have some time on it this Saturday.

ive just been looking for a price for the box section and sheet steel to make mine, cant decide on what size box section to use though

Mine is 50x50 with 4mm bottom shelf and top. It's overkill for a cart but that's what I had so I used it. And this way it doubles as a welding table.

I want mine to double as a small table (the only reason I want it really)

gonna use the wheels from a wheelie bin an the rear and just have legs on the front.

will probably go for 40x40x3 as I think my local blacksmith has a lot of it in for a cancelled job at the moment. he does a good deal when he no longer need the metal.

want to make mine so it comes apart for transport in the car too as I seem to be getting a lot of jobs that require me to go to them and not them to me...

Got a smaller vice and caps for the end of the tubes.
Might clean off some paint under the top to get the ground clamps out of the way.

looks good, mines something similar, made out of some kitchen implement stand, thet wasn't being used. Being a lazy tart, I just put a bit of 2mm steel sheet top on it, job done..

The only thing I did differently was to put a much smaller vice on it, and put it right on the corner, almost overhanging the bench. I gained a lot of top space that way. Mind I don't really put any heavy work on it, so for clamping up it's fine....

Drilled and tapped some M8 holes and working on some clamps now that need a little refining.

Also added an on/off foot pedal and flex head to the tig rig
