Just made a start on my trolley today, it's likely to take me a good month to complete as I don't seem to have much time these days but I made a start anyway
The plan is having a device so I can lock the welder onto the trolley and lock the trolley / chain it to a wall when not in use.
Eventually I'll have it blasted and powder coated a similar colour to my new R-Tec TIG. Maybe the framework in black and the side panels in blue.
Started off like this - looks like something that belongs in a hospital or something
Drilled out all the panels and dividers, they were all rivited and welded together
Measured the water cooler and cut some matching 25x25 box for the front panel, the water cooler will sit on the bottom left of the trolley. The only problem being is that it will need sliding out if it / when it needs topping up with water. I may also need to add some fans if it is enclosed in the trolley like this.
My first real go at TIG welding something for actual fabrication purposes, looks like I've gained a bit of a pin hole all the other welds typically the ones you can't see look a lot better.
The gas bottle will sit internally rather than on a step on the back and will slide out from the RH side.
Looking forward to getting on with a bit more now
