This has been knocking about in the yard where I work for about 6 years. Asked the boss the other day what was going on with it, he didn't even know what it was or that it was there. ???
So the magpie in me asked if I could have permanent loan of it and he said yes!
Happy days! It has never been used! It's a bit rusty from lying in an open shed for years and it's 3 phase so need to sort that to 240.

It's some sort of compressor attached to some old gear out of a massive freeze dryer which was used for preserving old dug out boats that were found in peat bogs.

Thanks for the info, will get onto that first thing Monday morning, think all that stuff is getting in the way, so at some stage will end up in the skip!

The bit to the left is a dust filter, the tall bit is a blast cabinet, from the name I suspect you put a wheel in and it automatically blasts it, the armholes allow you to position the wheel with the cabinet closed

I thought "Wheelabrator " was less about blasting wheels and more due to the media being thrown up by a paddel wheel rather than using compressed air and a nozzel. Though I think Wheelabrator as brand has made both kinds of equipment. Either way you've got a nice cab and filter pack to use as is or as a basis for somthing else.

But there is no blasting equipment inside! Do you think I could use it with just my 20 gallon blaster and still use the dust filter? Interesting link by the way!
