I’ve used the Makita corded version of that, and it’s a beast! Very sturdy compared to my b & d version, but then the price difference reflects that.

I'm sure its a good tool but cant think what task it would be suited to apart from cleaning the inside of square tube or working under cars.

Weld fillets better with flap disc or die grinder? Smaller radius than the nose of theese fingers.

I've got the Black & Decker version (bought second-hand for the princely sum of £3). The main thing I use it for is cleaning up in awkward places (I've used it quite a bit on the heat treatment oven project to clean the inside corner of an angle-iron joint after welding). I imagine a die grinder would also work, but I don't have one of them.

It does work very well.
Bear in mind, the compromise of narrowness is you will go through the belts quicker

I've got a corded B&D one on it's second replacement "sticky outy bit" , had it for years.
Also have a Silverline one which to my mind is actually better ...

Both get lots of use when I'm making my "arty farty" stuff. Wouldn't be without them.

To be honest it’s one of those when you need it you need it tools and I can understand why people buy the cheap versions. Having said that I find it’s often a better option than an angle or die grinder, even when in reality either would suffice (AKA a luxury tool!).
