Tool trolley.

I already bought similar some time ago from IKEA with baskets for veg or something. Yesterday I got this which is similar to Machine Marts tool trolley.
Not hugely substantial but certainly man enough for hand tools to be kept in one place when carrying out tasks on a motor bike or a car engine.
Think I paid £36 and a fiver each for the cutlery trays but they weren’t essential.

Can't get enough of that sort of trolley in a workshop...

Seems a good idea, but mine would become cluttered with crap n such in a short space of time….if I had one….each to their own I guess…
I tend to get out of cupboards/drawers tools I need when working on the cars, then put away after the job is done…

I had a snap on trolley with the screwdriver rack on the side.It was a great thing that on a sunny day I could drag out into the yard at work and work on the camper vans out there. Decided I could do with a few more drawers so bolted a mid drawer unit off a roll cab under it. It was then I realised I could just have used a roll cab!

Same here, I can see the sense if it was a designated service trolley for a particular aspect of your work.

I use a snap on 26 roll cab for that, the wheels are terrible, lock up at the first spot of dust/cable tie etc.

Therein lies my problem. I can’t put anything away, until I can’t find anything, then spend 2 days putting stuff away, then finds loads of stuff I forgot so had.

I have one i use at work, since i only have my mobile tool box there at the moment, it's quite handy to stick the mobile box in the top and wheel it around.



I have another waiting to be converted to how i want, with the airline manifold, hose reel, etc fitted to it.




I've always used trolleys of some sort, really useful for mechanical work.

My little garage is rammed and there’s not much room for a roll cab and there’s two benches in there so this is really just for job specific tools.

I built this bench when I built the garage using two Bott storage drawers.

Buy multiple units, get ones that just slide under the workbench.
I have several, assigned to different tasks.
Automotive tools, drill press, etc.

When I said I don’t put much away, I wasn’t joking.
It no better now. Just realised that’s my other trolley for lubes etc.

There are those who would say that I am a right tool who is off his trolley...

I have a trolley of sorts, a folding sack barrow that I use to get certain toolboxes, or the welder, or plasma to where I need it to be.
Bigger wheels than trolley casters to go across rougher surfaces better.

I've always used trolleys of some sort, really useful for mechanical work.

I have never seen one of them where the wheels have not collapsed in that silly nylon adaptor in the bottom of the box section.

This cart is useful for dragging around the yard, a couple of gurt Facom cantilever tool boxes bolted down to a platform trolley, tyres went flat all the time so swapped them for the solid ones.

The best tool trolley I ever had was a steel-topped 4' x 2' wheeled bench with a vice on the corner.
Enough room on top for my box and still plenty space to work on stuff. Used to wheel it around the workshop from job to job.
