Triangle 'Minx ' Old welder,New Owner also to welding !

Although Ive made a couple of comments I'm new to the forum ! and to welding ! just wondered if anyone else is using one of these welders or knows anything about them ! I am into classic stuff and have been told the welder shows that ,thanks

I gave a friend of mine a Triangle 140 amp AC oil cooled welder a couple of years ago. It took two of us to lift it into his car, worked fine though and he's still using it to good effect. I got it from a local shop who were scrapping it along with some other stuff like a Bradbury Jackette and some ramps.

Even though I am not a welder I have watched alot of people do it ! I tried this welder out ,works fine very easy to arc and lays a nice weld down, to my eye anyway

Proper old school welder! I have an oxford from that era, it's a nice machine to use

i have a 300A triangle welder. got it off evil bay for £10.50!! needed a engine hoist to get it off the truck!!

How do you find it for doing the job ! and have you got it on a separate circuit and most of all does it eat the electricity ? thanks

My 180A oxford will only run off the cooker 45A supply on 240v even then it always trips then supply on startup but the runs all day??? it's a lot happier on 415v

I have mine wired into the cooker circuit ! just to be on the safe side ! all done with the correct cables,will take pic tomorrow incase I havent ! then someone can advise
