I have a 50ltr 2hp compressor I purchased from Screwfix, worked OK but now have 2 main problems with it.. Excuse this post as I am not up on the technical terms for all the bits...
There is a sort of T connector with 2 pressure gauges (one tank and one to gun?) with a quick discharge thing, a connector for the air line and a large black handle that opens/closes air valve (?), the black box on/off is at the top - looks to be about 3/4" and screws directly into the tank...
I managed to break both of these somehow - the motor is sound, chugged away and kicked in/out like a good 'un... then I noticed that the gauge saying tank pressure would not increase, regardless of how long I left it, I opened/closed the regulator as described, drained the liquid etc etc, no use... found one of the issues was a blanking plate at the back, 2 of the screws had broken and the air was escaping - took it off, small spring with a black oblong plastic block (some sort or regulator for the air regulator) - tried to drill out screws, no luck - knackered and can't get a seal
Then an alluminium pipe that connected to the rear of the black box (on/off) decided to break - it is very thin and connected a large brass one way valve in receiver to a connector on the black on/off box - it looks like a fridge/freezer pipe but about the diameter of a normal 13 amp flex....
I have tried everywhere to find;
1. Replacement power box (I broke it 'cos I had the hump and a rubber mallet in my hand)
2. Replacement pipe
3. Replacement T piece with gauges, regulator etc....
Or - does anyone have any idea of a cheaper way of keeping the 50ltr and perhaps buying another regulator/outlet/gauge (I'm not very savvy with what I can add to the receiver) - if I need to buy a new 50ltr could I cob my old one to the new one and have 100ltr but just use the 2HP motor that I have with this compressor (new one will only have 1.5HP motor)
By the way - sorry - oiless and plugs into the wall
