TV remote holder

I stayed at my parents' house not long before Christmas and couldn't find the DVD remote for the life of me so decided to make them a Bauhaus style remote control cradle for Christmas. Dubious whether they'll use it for that but should look interesting in their mish-mash style house anyway. 50% designed sitting at traffic lights on the way to the workshop, 50% as I went along.

To me I can see style and quality in that and it would look the absolute business in a modern artistic setting.

However if I gave it to the wife for a Christmas present I would consider myself very lucky the hospital is just down the road.

It looks like you've made a really good job making that, didn't realise it was as big as it is until the pic with the remotes in it.

Nice job!! Rubber 'dots' on the rivet tops might prevent it "slip-slidin'-away".

It looks to be made from 40 x 6 flat bar. I bet it weighs more than the sofa

Ha, cheers. One of those things that if anyone walked in whilst you're making the "change the channel" air motion like Mr Bean to guestimate how big the TV remote is whilst screwing up your face they'd look at you and think "what the hell is that idiot doing?!"

I sell used remotes ! and I thought the biggest problem was loosing them so you can easily take the screws out and prise them apart, clean them up rub down with a green pad and spray them with A bright luminous paint, Brainwave I thought, i never got one order, but still think its a good idea.

Its a fantastic design,BUT,it still wont stop her indoors putting the remote back slap bang next to the telly when she cahanges channel,drives me up the wall

I'm thinking with a few tea lights under it, it would keep my food hot.

I did once make a universal / all in one remote for my parents...……….

………...one remote on each side of a length of 2x2 and some rubber bands. It was too big to lose.
