Has anyone tried any of these in an ultrasonic cleaner? Was it worth it?
I currently use 12% hydrochloric acid, brick cleaner, for rust and mill scale on new and old steel for welding it's fast but have to do it outside and don't really want to start soaking old car parts, machine parts and tools in it.
I have also used MC51 and really like it, fast when new and warm but really slow once it's been used a bit and a little cooler, also have to scrub the part periodically to keep it working on the thicker rust. Doesn't flash rust even when washed off in cool water, then blown dry with an airline.
I'm sure MC51 in an ultrasonic would be very good and remove the need for scrubbing parts with thicker rust but it's expensive.
