I've got a cheapo underseal / Schutz gun from Toolzone, the type where you screw the can onto the bottom. It works just fine for that, but I've now come to a point where I want to put some wax in bits. It pre-dates the ones that come with a plastic extension hose, but a mate gave me a spare hose with the nozzle on the end and I've adapted it to fit on the end of the fixed outlet.
But, when I do that, even though the wax is quite thinned down and warm, nothing comes out, in fact nothing even seems to go into the plastic tube. The tube isn't blocked. I also tried a short piece of some other plastic tube that has no fitting on the end, just to spray some in the end of the sills, and again nothing happens. When I take either of them off, it sprays just fine.
Is there some difference between the guns that can have this extra tube and those that cannot? It just seems a bit weird that with no other difference, as soon as I fit the plastic extension on, nothing comes out. Is this some weird venturi thing that needs a different gun to work with the extension, or am I overthinking it?
I don't mind buying one that does have the extension if I know it's going to solve the problem, they're not expensive on eBay at around £12, but I'm having a bit of a clearout of old junk and the last thing I want to do is buy a duplicate if it won't help.
Any advice would be appreciated.
