I've not had a load of luck with those Shultz guns.
I keep eyeing up the Sealy pressure one on eBay, but they're about £80 : (

there was a guy selling off the pressurised pot ones recently for 50 quid. they were selling off cheap due to rust inside the pots. a night soaking in phospho sorted that. Great bits of kit, but mine didnt work for heated dinitrol 4191 and would still need thinning unless i'm doing it wrong!
Wind the air pressure down - some of the flash guns allow you to do it on the gun - most I've ever paid was 9 quid for one. Occasionally have to do a full strip down to unblock one as it sets in side before I next use it - I used to blast away with white spirit to clean them out afte ruse, but don't bother now.
You are doing it wrong.
You can adjust the trigger points for air on and then spray - you may have it set so the spray control isn't open wide enough.
Even at 80 quid a gun, the amount of time and effort it saves compared to faffing about with a suction type gun is worth it.
i've tried that. lowering the pressure on the shutz guns without restricting the inlet gives quite a lumpy texture if i remember. restricting the suction and keeping the pressure up give a nice factory looking finish.
Might to have play next time. so your are talking about the adjustment behind the trigger? i tried this initially and still couldnt get 4941 to spray nicely from the extension wand. might have to give it another try.
I use Bilt Hamber now and this comes in pressure cans (aerosols) pressurised to 70 PSI and for the cavity coating you get a long 600mm lance for every 2 cans you have, these atomise the spray and this attaches to everything in atomised form and self heals if it gets damaged and you can use the cans in any position.
