Hi all
I came here after reading an online tutorial by this website regarding various different paints and how they can be applied etc.
This summer I am planning on stripping the entire underside of my car to bare metal and would like to know what the best/better options are as far as "anti-rust" or "red oxide" paints are.
Would I be better using a zinc content or phospherous paint that effectively "bites" on to the bare metal?
I would be using either paint brush approach Or aerosol. currently have no access to air compressor.
once the bare steel has been coated a good few times I am considering top coating with hammerite "stone chip shield" aerosol a good few times. then the final coat of hammerite white paint (car is white, but have been informed that coating the stone chip will help protect further against rust and muck and water ingress).
any help is much appreciated
Thanks in advance
Rob
