Unknown Welder

Hi All,
We've just moved into a new house and when I got around to sorting out the garden I found what looks like a old diesel welder/generator buried under a load of weeds.
Can anyone give me advice on make/model or where I should be looking on it to find this info.
I've worked on bikes and cars my whole life, so am looking at this as a restoration project (plus having is as a back up gennie). So need to get a few spares/gaskets sets/etc.
Any pointers greatfully received.

That's a Mighty Midget, brilliant machine if the alternator hasn't been over rev'ed, the magnets tend to walk out of the rotor and seize things up........Absolute max 2850/3000 rpm

One of the best small old school welders, they do scream a bit when the arc is stuck, and will weld all day long at maximum amps until the fuel runs out.

Noisy old things, 3000rpm lister engined welders are ok if you have very long leads and can site them in the next county. When mine went bang I fitted the welder bit in a landrover and ran it off the PTO.

it looks like a Lister-Petter AD1 engine......
an absolute bitch to start when cold unless the rings/valves are in perfect order......
I have several engines that are all the same for starting.....in the past I've used a 50/50 mix of petrol diesel dripped into the intake after long periods of inactivity....
when my 240/110 genny next see's the light of day it'll get a home brew electric start kit.......
Just cant swing anymore at my age.....75....
