Had been unhappy with the base of my chop saw for some time, I have always found that when cutting steel that if it's allowed to vibrate in any way, not only does it wear the disk away quickly, it leaves a rough chewed like cut. This was happening with my chop saw so decided to make a more substantial base from second hand angle iron.
And made a slight mod so I can cut me another one just like the other one do.
Paint was still tacky when I finished so I didn't get it tryed but hoping that will eliminate the vibration.
