Upgrade to Hydrovane worthwhile?

I have big Snap On compressor with a 150-200L tank, it has always done me proud and done everything I've needed air tool wise. I think it's 15-16CFM but I suspect that is displacement not FAD

I have a chance of a reasonable price on a Hydrovane HV02 3HP which is 8CFM FAD at 10bar so from a performance point of view it's comparable but it also has a drier and has a smaller footprint(although space isnt an issue)

Having heard a similar one run I'm amazed just how quiet it is and I know they are very durable.

Hopefully with the sale of the old one the upgrade will cost around £250

I know a few of you have Hydrovanes (doubleboost) what are your thoughts?

Thanks Mr shiney, I had pretty much decided I'm going for it anyway. I had not actually heard one running until recently I was stood next to it talking to the chap and I was really surprised just how quiet it was, my impact gun makes more noise. Going have a proper look in the next couple of days

Mine is on permanent lone
Single phase (16 amp)
It runs very quiet with no vibration
The wife loves it for the lack of noise

my neighbour doesn't bother how much noise I make even running the diesel comp and blasting . I only do it now and then at a reasonable time

Well I decided to go for it and I collected today, looking forward to plumbing it in once someone is here to help me lift it out of the vehicle
