Hi all got one of those cheapo comps from aldi, just looking at aeither putting the motor on a bigger 50ltr tank or adding a seperate tank onto it, just wondering is this easy to do and will there be a cfm gain or would I be stuck with 9.5 which so far I've noticed just isn't good enough lol

You'll still get the same but it will last a bit longer before it runs out then take a bit longer to fill back up so not really gaining anything at all

Just add an extra tank, As long as it's rated to take the pressure,link the two comps together using a hose and fittings,(again rated to carry the pressures involved)
Your CFM will not improve but you will get more time before your air tool/spray gun etc drops below working pressure,

Thought that might be the case, think ill just get a better comp then and use that for touchups and airfed mask, its a good little comp but it just can't handle air tools like a sander. Found a vtwin comp for around 290 with about 13cfm and 50ltr tank. Should do the job I think.

Looks like a bigger version of the Aldi/Lidl etc Chinese compressors so probably OK for hobby use or wait for a VAT free day and go for one of these with a bit better aftersales support.

MM vat free is current, I just bought a 14cfm/150L one today, got the vat free email on Friday and it runs until 30th May

Just got to put the 30a supply in now
