Vase support on wheels

Hi to all.

This project is a special request from my mother.
A cart to move a big flower vase around the house.

All 20x20x4 angle iron, plus 4 wheels.

If I will make another, I will spend more time on cutting the internal pieces to size.
Fitup was sloppy, this time.

As usual, comments, suggestions and tips are wellcome!

Certainly a good idea and looks well strong enough.

The only thing I would have done different is use some light sheet steel to make a skirt around it to hide the wheels.

Fair do's that's a real workman like job and your Mum will love it all the more because you made it. For those wanting something similar but perhaps not quite as heavy duty, IKEA do a galvanised one for a £5. It's 31cms diameter and will support 35kgs

That was so subtle, I think I have just bust a ball laughing so hard! The man has spent all that time and money on that plant carrier, then for you to hit him with a £5.00 4" x 2", he must feel bloody proud poor sod lol! Is it my evil sense of humour or do others think the same, still can't stop laughing, lead balloon.

Sarto, it'll never break........I think I'd just heavy tack the joint's underneath tho........as for accuracy of the cuts, sometimes loose is OK.....on a job like that I'd make sure 1 or 2 bit's o metal fit tight and the rest leave loose.....
I make the basic shape and then cut the other peices to suit......just get it powder coated and ur done.......Frank

Can your mum lift it to store away when the pot is in its resting place?

Well, it's 30 cm wide.
It's below the 25 kg limit, I think.
As far as the strenght of the thing, I don't think it is too high.
Pieces were not beveled before welding so there is little weld metal left, after grinding.

Again, in the next one I will put more effort in the preparations.

Perhaps Sarto is miles from an IKEA, plus the ques at the checkouts in Ikea are a nightmare, the only thing l would go for is the sport of"Totty Spotting" some of those Italain women...........,,

It's not the best place for "totty spotting", either.
