Morning guys.
Had my morning brouse on eBay while enjoying my morning brew. And spotted this beast for sale...shame I couldn't get it in the workshop...well. I could but would be a nightmare....

t dug this one out Fortuna make old lineshsaft driven job with loose pulley clutch
Came out the boiler house in a large victorian laundry no wear or abuse got a reducion box motor
Now i need a flat belt pulley and mount it under thhe saw

Get it probably no one will want it due to the weight can imagine it cuts great no flex in it

Yes. It's definitely a big ol lump. And national grid to start it. Be a nice single phase motor conversion thoe

Definitely...i could so easily talk myself in to it. But devon is a long way from me.

its a fair size rgb stainless had one the same size then replaces with a much larger one it was fully automatic hydraulic vice hydraulic auto feed. computer operated. they loaded 10 foot lengths of 12 inch round stainless steel onto the table with a forklift and set it going fully automatic they were cutting flanges with it

Just found out mines was assembled in Lescester around 1914 Fortuna is a german company still alive and kicking specialise in leather skriving machinery it is a model w with 10 x 12 straight cut capacity and a real heavy duty vice another acessory was an inverted v jaw arangement that held bundles of round stock for cutting also a screw to space jaws parralell when cutting short work pieces . By the condition its in id say its only been used a few hours no wear at all

Managed to cobble up some mounts and pullys with a some vw bits out the scrap pile jocky wheel adjusts from other side was a cam belt pulley bit of pipe over it and bingo bit of belt now and fasteners to be had from a mate and and we will unleash 2hp@70 rpm

Nice tensioner. Keeps that belt tucked in

May be stealing the idea for when I do mine

Be easy to knock these up out of heavy plate when i get the saw running
