Vibratory tub build (not started yet)

I'm going to build myself one of these, is there anything I need to know before I just start sticking bits of metal together?

And so far I have a motor, bearings and a shaft for the offset weights to go on, and that's it.

It was very straight forward to make one.
Make sure it's big enough for what you might want to chuck in.
I thought it might get a bit technical with different springs and motor speeds. It didn't seem to be a problem and worked ok straight off.
My water pump packed in with all the sludge being recirculated, i just chuck a bit of water in now and let it run. When it's about done i drain the water and put some fresh stuff in, otherwise it leaves a coating of rubbish on the steel.
Don't bolt the stand to your workshop wall because it will resonate through the wall

Excellent. Thanks. Out of interest, how easy was it to get the "handy bit of round cylinder" bent into the right shape? Would you say easier or harder than shaping a bit of flat sheet?

It was quite hard to straighten out the cylinder and it could well have been easier to curve some flat sheet.
