Nice piece of work. Looks a lot simpler than some I've seen, and will cut a lot longer taper too. Most seem to be a bit restricted on length of taper that can be cut in one operation.
Yours seems a bit more restricted on maximum angle but I guess it would be simple to have another mounting point for the angle setting carrier nearer to the headstock and use a shorter bar to gain more angle.

I can slide the left side carrier in toward the center of the bed and the bar just slides thru the right side holder just for that reason to get steeper angles. I was planning to cut off the sine bar when i first made it but never did. Thanks...Bob

Yup and if they are long you have to start and stop move everything and restart plus i always feel like i have carpel tunnel in my hand from all of the cranking...Bob

Good effort. The topslide on my Boxford VSL has enough travel to allow you to cut the full length of a 3MT, or so I'm led to believe...
