Can anyone help date a Makita 6300 please ?

Looks like my makita drill, the number on mine is 29381E.
A mate bought one around 1979, it cost something mad like £200[I was probably on 35 quid a week at the time]
Mine came out of a skip in the 80's

Thanks for the pic @graffian I was picking early 80's.
Does it still go, mine is still strong.
It has a press/stand and I wonder if it was factory too.

@The_Yellow_Ardvark I did find that link and that's what I came up with 8. 0 so maybe January 1980 ?

Yes still going strong. It's was the only modern drill I had until I bought a cordless a few
years ago. If I wanted to drill a hole and couldn't get it on the pillar drill or mill the makita was used.
I stuck 6300-4 into google and it seems you can still buy them.
