Vortex dust extractor size

Got my self a blast cabinet and doing the filter mod. I have found this tub int shed and wondered.

Is it to small ?

Or best say a 25l size for a better vortex ?

When we did a LOT of cast iron turning we made one from a 205 Ltr drum a Clark ventilation fan and a design of a Cyclone from a woodworking site after 2 weeks we had to pick it up with a forklift.
Did one for a friend with a cylinder Vac and a drum the size you have + one of those Chinese £10 cyclones worked well

That was one of those cheap vortexes if I remember right. Seemed to be fine.

well just found a 30l version of the drum i have and ill pick it up tomoz after work. bigger the better anyway.

if you want a better one use speed and really spin it

now turn a gas bottle sideways and pipe it into it using the rocket stove method

not bothered really aslong as it works, the bucket seems to work good enough. Although on rocket stove thing, i mite start to build mine now for winter

I use the air flow of a fan blowing into the (well sealed) cabinet exhausting through a cheapie plastic cyclone to drop the dust out - works pretty well, and quieter than a vacuum cleaner running.
