Nothing is ever smooth and easy is it. Got another engine being a Volvo Penta B20 that has been sat for a while since it was removed. I was getting any compression at all in any cylinder so i removed the head to look inside. added 10mm of oil into the bores and after three days it hadnt dropped. the other engine i have it near vanished in half hour lol.
Its had new pistons fitted in last couple of years, bores are great etc etc
Only problem, not sure if it will cause zero compression. Cant see it but one valve lifter is getting stuck 3/4 way down. it free falls to there then has to be forced down then real tight.
I have tried other lifters and all the same to them.
What would cause this and how would it be fixed ?
All this before i see why no compression
