It's quoted at 2mm mild steel over the length my intension is to use it for 2mm aluminium and perhaps 3mm aluminium over half its length, lenz quote that their 40" one can fold 2.5 mm Ms over its length but they look identicalWhat capacity does the manufacturer state for it? What percentage of that capacity do you intend to use it at? How proportion of the working week do you intend to use it at that capacity?
If your answer to the first question is more than 50% and your answer to the second is more than 25%, you will be disappointed.
With UK built ones, the stated capacity is generally highly conservative and is given at 100% duty cycle (Rolls Royce never used to publish a top speed for their vehicles - if pushed, their answer would be 'enough'). With overseas ones, the stated capacity is generally optimistic both in size and duration.
Chester seem to have a 40" one and have a 'tooling' sale until the end of September.
Just seen one from Dimakin that looks very well priced.
Some of these are made in Poland to the same designThe Polish seem to be taking over from the Chinese in churning out semi pro folders at the moment ,,,
Maybe its the shipping thats more favorable but they certainly seem to be making an in roads.
like most Chinese stuff , it looks like one factory with a few different paint colors and a few boxes of stickers ..Some of these are made in Poland to the same design
