with a bit of patience you could get an edwards at that price actually about half that price on a bad day and a bit less on a good day

Waited for a few years now there's been a few smashed up ones that have come up locally and still quite expensive, morgan rushworth, lenz metallkraft, jet, baighleigh all sell these with their own paint job on them a proper counter lever one is double the cost of these new sometimes more

What capacity does the manufacturer state for it? What percentage of that capacity do you intend to use it at? How proportion of the working week do you intend to use it at that capacity?
If your answer to the first question is more than 50% and your answer to the second is more than 25%, you will be disappointed.
With UK built ones, the stated capacity is generally highly conservative and is given at 100% duty cycle (Rolls Royce never used to publish a top speed for their vehicles - if pushed, their answer would be 'enough'). With overseas ones, the stated capacity is generally optimistic both in size and duration.
Chester seem to have a 40" one and have a 'tooling' sale until the end of September.
Just seen one from Dimakin that looks very well priced.

Some of these are made in Poland to the same designThe Polish seem to be taking over from the Chinese in churning out semi pro folders at the moment ,,,
Maybe its the shipping thats more favorable but they certainly seem to be making an in roads.
like most Chinese stuff , it looks like one factory with a few different paint colors and a few boxes of stickers ..Some of these are made in Poland to the same design
Id still hold out for a real one ,, F J Edwards or keetona there are plenty of others , ut its hard to go past an Edwards , I use a 4 ft truefold , the heavy duty one , it was bought about three years ago for a grand and brought to Belfast as a return load .. its a total weapon.
