Washer sizes

Hi, how are washers sized by thickness and diameters, i am rebuilding a land rover and I need oversized washers but not as large as repair washers,ie the M6 setscrews I will be using have readily available repair washers with an OD of 25 mm ,are they available as 20mm od and a bit thicker as in the old imperial ones that have rotted away,they would preferably be in SS as well,I only know these as penny washers but ideally they would be 1/2p washersany advice/sources welcome thanks,

Just be aware that using SS bolts will cause the Aluminium to corrode faster than if you were to use Zinc plated fixings.
You need to use an Anti-Galvanic paste, to stop/slow the corrosion.

Thanks Shox, that's very useful to know (don't know why but I always somehow assumed that using s/s would be fine with EVERYthing!)

Thanks fellas ,Shox I have spent ages making plastic washers from icecream tubs to help prevent the electrolytic corrosion,will also get that paste as well thanks again ,good forum this ,always comes up trumps,
