Waste oil heaters are banned in Scotland, as in prohibited by law
England seemingly might be going the same way
Advice below from : http://www.zmosystems.co.uk/faqs/
I will post my build pics tommorow when i take ones of final product minus paint as i havent had time yet unfortunately. With regards air quality i think thats a little ott. If you did a little reserch you would probably find a diesel car doing on avarage 10k a year is a lot more polluting than a oil burner that burns quite cleanly? Burning of any fossil fuel is damaging to the environment hence paying the premium to the goverment for using oil burners. Or how about 2 stroke that burn oil? Anyway pics to follow its extremely good and been muti fuel can burn wood/coal also
If you are going to preach about not breaking the law then that has to apply to every law, not just the ones that you agree with, so that includes never going over the speed limit etc., any thing else is hypocrisy. You mean the US NOx test.../ Cheating on the CO2 Type Approval test?
The UK MOT smoke test can be passed by a 1992 diesel...its never as yet been updated...(though it keeps cropping up...equipment cost and reliability of the test during low temperatures IIRC has a lot to do with it)
Any car with a DPF would pass even with the fuelling seriously messed with....and even minus its DPF it takes a lot of meddling to fail
Mechanic or "X Maker Approved Technician" (there is a difference)...clearly you have no MOT emissions test knowledge....
Right or wrong the legislation is there...and SEPA are someone I DON'T want to get on the wrong side of....I know someone who fell foul of SEPA...living hell was an understatement...noses poked into EVERY area they could, storage of chemicals, requests for evidence of correct disposal of xyz (seems a lot of stuff "legally" shouldn't be stuck in the bin...ignorance in their view being no defence...) - usual end - court appearance, fines based on THEIR view of the likely pollution (bit like the revenue when they get a sniff of untaxed work...they take a worst case scenario and clobber you over the head with it...), seizure of polluting items, prohibition orders, future unannounced visits (till the cows are long past home...)
Essentially - the poo hits the fan big style...
