I have one of the el-cheapo 3hp twin cylinder compressors available under various guises and I've started to get loads of water in the air for some reason. Everything is drained and both oil and water traps empty with good filters in so I'm rather stumped, any ideas? It's been fine even for spraying with the same setup up till now, it's just started to play up today

the humidity in the air plays a big part and where it condenses in the pipes. warm humid air in and compresses then in to a cold tank and pipes = water the higher of volume air used the more water down the pipes .use a water seperator at near the end of your lines

I find the cooler air this time of year has less moisture, but one thing I did notice is the harder the compressor works the hotter the air and hence more moisture, when spraying I found turning the cut out to 8 bar rather than 10 helped a lot, but you need some drop legs after a pipe run and a good water separator and the coalescing filter then removes any remaining moisture and oil.
I'm trying to figure out what's changed to make it go from bone dry air to a visible mist of water from the gun. I was working it quite hard so maybe it's just getting too hot but I've not had a problem before when blasting.
I've ordered a new ABAC compressor to tandem with it, hopefully that'll keep temperatures down enough.

i use a second tank at the end of the line blasting it cools the air down and limits the amount of water entering the filter on the pot
