Heres what i do when i gotta work. This is a water jacket for one of our 16kw boiler multi fuel stove. All these welds have to be done uphill to ensure good penetration and to make sure its watertight. When finished i test this under 30psi pressure to make sure there are no leaks. All these boilers are made with 6mm plate

the missed weld is done on purpose.. that lets the air escape when you weld the last joint otherwise it would create a blow hole with the pressure, its also where the boiler tappings go so the perfect place to leave the gap to cut hole for tappings
Its a Fronius 450 amp and we also use Migatronics. No SIPS here lol

very nice. my experiences with uphill have all ended horribly. nice looking welds there though
