Wecol Regulator Modification

Hi guys,

On with the installation and use of Oxy/Propane again, this time the cylinders are going to be stored in a secure area in the corner of the unit.

Problem I have at the moment is, that the inlet and outlet connections on the Wescol Regulator I have for the Propane is the wrong way around, and a mighty pain in the rear! It would mean moving an entire run of racking around 18mtrs in length, by 200mm so the current set up could be used.

I don't fancy emptying the racking and I highly doubt pulling it with a Scania R310 will prove that it can be moved fully loaded, although it would be fun to try.

what are u trying to achieve. a propane regulator has a bullnose on the high pressure side and a tail on the output side for the pipe ?

DON'T DO IT

From what I can understand of your post you could end up connecting your bagging to a high pressure outlet on the regulator

If you have an incident and the authorities get involved you will not have a leg to stand on if they see you have modified the regulator, it is an absolute no,no

If the propane regulator is in the way, you can get purpose made adapters in brass....extensions and 90* This may enable you to safely reposition the regulator.

From what i remember they were used when the handle around the top of the bottle had a small diameter and it was difficult to fit a reg.

Shall be looking into a couple of 90* bends to move the outlet to where I need it to be.
