hi im new but im looking for a weld kit supplier of garden furniture it must come in kit form as i do not have much room , oh and it must be in britain somewhere . Thanks in advance
I've never seen anything like a kit you describe. Google turned up nothing either.
Bear in mind that most metal garden furniture is cast aluminium. Puts up with the weather, light and easy to put away and move around. Can be cast into fancy shapes.
About the only weld-it-yourself thing remotely like that I've seen was a stair rail I helped remove in France which was obviously made from a kit and had been not very well gas welded together around 1970.
Metal garden ornaments are things most people just buy and put in place. Enthusiasts make them from scratch.
Bear in mind that DIY welding isn't all that popular in the UK. You don't walk into any DIY shed or builders merchant and they have a range of welders and supplies. So I doubt the market for such things would be very large.
If You have enough skill/experience/equipment to operate and use a welder I would have thought you would have the skill/experience/equipment to build some garden furniture.
There are plenty of 3D CAD tools including Google Sketchup (now trimble Sketchup) or paper and pencil.
Most kits will be bolt together not weld together, although you could get a bold together kit and weld it.
most of the build it yourself ones I have found involve nothing more than 2 cast ally sides (legs, arm rest and upright for back all in one) and then some wooden slats that bolt into pre cast lugs on the sides. nothing at all to weld, unless you were planning on replacing the wooden slats with aluminium strips? would cost a lot though and I think I would prefer the wood
