at the moment i use a carke welding cart that i picked up at swap meet for £10, i cant belive that i never saw the need for one anyway i think that i'm going to improve on the design to make it more suitable (for me).As it's a bit of a pain to transport in my car with the rest of the kit.

so i plan to make something like this

2" steel tubing for the base and 1" tubing for the top rail

Can I buy your old one off you when you've built your new one? Still looks better than the one I made.....

i like the fact that the mig up high as it makes adjusting feed rates and power easier to adjust

Well, here is one I built several years ago for the then new Lincoln Weldpack 100. The running gear was salvaged from an old Harbor Freight wagon style cart. This one is still in use, in fact the pic was taken only a few months ago.



For my new Miller 180 I decided to simply add lead hangers, larger wheels, and a shelf for the Miller plasma cutter to the existing cart which came with the 180. Even though I still plan to build a proper cart for these two untis some day, it is working out fine as is for now.



I got this old Lincoln tombstone off the local Craigslist. It came wheeless with the leads coiled up and hanging from "S" hooks made from welding rods.
My first thought was to buld a cart with lead hangers for it. But, instead I just put the wheels which I had removed from the Miller cart on the machine and fabed up some lead hangars which I simply bolted to the side of the machine.

My first welding project ... it's only a little beast, but it does the trick ... the flow meter is just high enough to see over the top of the welder. CoG is over the wheels when you lift it to "rolling" position.

I'm adding a bit of pipe as a gun holder, one on each side, and no the lead isn't as kinked as it looks, it's just the angle of the photo :-). Have to get around to adding a torch holster to the side, though.

Try not to use a tube to hold the torch as the weight of the harness then hangs on the swan neck / shroud.
Most of the harnesses I repair at work need new swan necks due to damage from tubes welded to bench used to park torch in.

mig stick and plasma fits under bench. But mostly using stick off the Tig set (not shown).

i like it ,not much material and allmost reminds me of a engine stand

here is mine but i have a lot of trouble moving it around with the Stype tank on the back so need to go bigger i think

wannabe fade paint didnt trun out to great haha
