hi folks.
im glenn and im a newbie to welding so i thought i would jump straight in with a question. i have been given a sealey supermig 185 by a mate and im looking at getting started with some welding. i have been looking on the internet for one of the charts that some welders have in the lid. you know the ones, they tell you your ampage and wire speed for each size of plate. i cant find one anywhere!!!
also, i was wondering. my mate said he would show me how to set it up but he runs a very busy body shop so i dont want to impose. i was going to just pick it up, take it home and give it a go on my own. i have watched some vids on the blessed youtube and done a bit of reading up so i have a rough idea...........would anyone say this is a good idea, or a dangerous one hahaha
thanks in advance for the help folks and hope to chat to some of you soon.
