little tip form some one that found out the hard way, use locking swivel casters so it doesn't roll away into things. just my 2 cents

Are you going for a pair of normal 6 or 8 inch wheels outside the frame to the rear of the bottle centreline to take the weight and reduce the likelihood of tipping like most Mig sets have?

That was the idea I have a couple of decent wheels (wheeley bin)
Two casters at the front (the licking idea is good)
It will only be carrying a 20 litre bottle and wont be going far
One thing I do need is plenty of hooks to hang all the cables on

Just a bit of a tip, try adding a full width handle to the tray where the welder sits to pull the cart about.
I bought my cart and it doesnt have a handle yet. Its a real pain to move about the workshop.

Be handy to wrap cables around as well

no problem! a bit of 10mm bar stock welded on at an angle is a easy way to make hooks for cables hoses and the like plush there are no sharp corners to bump into.

Just don't use a bit of tube as a "holster" for the torch, wrecks the shroud retainer

nice job, on a side note how do you find that rtec lid is to use? Is it the XL?

The hat is indeed the R-Tech XL
I like it much better than my old speedglass
You can use very low amps and it wont flash bright
It has a grinding mode as well

Nice one mate, well useful. I think you need a larger workshop than your garage to move it around a bit though :-)
