have a look at this. www.welddownunder.com anyone used one of these, looks like it could be a handy bit of kit to keep in the truck, for those five minute repair jobs that its a pain to take the tig too??

Yeah we discussed that sometime ago. Nice video & boy can his missus do the job! Never personally used one & I recall somebody saying they weren't what they are made out to be, but I could be totally wrong.
Never been offered them to re-sell in the UK.

I have this kit, that can weld very thin sheet, but the TIG is still the king.
The welding torch they sell, is probably for gas welders who refuse to go to modern TIG systems

I will post some photos later of this torch fired up. It has nozzels so small, they are thinner then some Hypodermic needles

I had an O2 / MAPP gas setup that looked similar. Worked ok for brazing. The O2 is expensive at $8/ for a 1.1 CuFt bottle that lasts about 8 minutes.

I found my Map gas torch worked almost as well.

I do a similar set using industry standard, professional equipment & a 24cu.ft refillable Oxygen cylinder + MAPP gas, but, as always in the UK, refills are the problem as it's pretty much sown up by BOC.
