Welding sleeves.

Anyone recommend any reasonable prices (cheap) lol welding sleeves.

I have had the chrome ones for years and to be fair they are damn good but my sons forearms arrive many people calves. Mine are not much smaller but the Chrome sleeves are tight on the ends for both of us.
Since I purchased these ,kevlar has become more affordable but I am unsure how they size them and if sparks and spatter still burn as they do seem very thin.

I like to go whole hog, flameproof overalls and leather rigger boots.

Downside is that you look like you've wandered off your oil rig and got lost.

I appreciate that but. It's not gonna happen. Usually a quick few inches here and there.

Old motorcycle leather jacket, cut the sleeves?
No shortage of them in FB sizing and quite a challenge to find a skinny one on ebay.

Just don't tuck your overalls into said riggers boots, when you're welding.


My old flame proof coveralls, FB size, worn by the invisible man....

The door opposite was blasting hot air from the engine room, inflated and dried wet overalls in a few minutes.

Tucked in every time. I still want to do the hot rock dance, i just want it to be so spontaneous that even i don't know when it'll happen.

It's even harder finding a welding jacket in FB size.

I made my new one from old sofas ,, I got the leather from a night club that a friend was doing a refit on , took my old jacket apart to make the patterns and one afternoon later a new jacket ,,, longer sleeves and a longer front and it works well , all sewn together with kevlar thread and so far so good , the chinese import stuff with 5xl fit me like spandex on a rent boy . Im not that big , 6ft and a 48 chest so any of the big guys must really have issues.
