Nice one just found the forum ...

I have mig welding tig welding ( as yet to set up ) and Gas welding equipment. I have learnt loads my self but had a back ground in Mec fitting.
I repair my own classic cars and I made a rotisory for my Porsche 356 I am restoring plus a trolly for it to sit on......

I am over the moon as I have just read up the shot blasting part as I have just bought the very same setup so I know it will work now great!!!

Oh btw Mark 38 in Hampshire and my mate owns www.migtigarc.co.uk if this is of any help to people. I get all my stuff from him as he will tell you straight what you need and not try and sell you some thing you don't. Plus he does all the safety gear as well..

Is Radium Green a metallic? I've a friend with the Rochdale in the photo who spent hours looking through the green colours used on 356s. He ended up with a lovely non-met green.

your mates car looks Palm Green a non metalic one..

and yes my car is quite rare anyway being a an " S " model and also in Jade Green a dark metalic green. But I just didn't like it too dark.. so I too looking thought the colours and found I liked the 1953 colour RADIUM Green so I am still with the green colours but just one year out and lighter.. still rare though..

That's a Rochdale Olympic - a special with a glassfibre monocoque from 1965. Takes 356 headlamps, so the front it looks a bit Porsche, and from the back more E-type. Page on it here. He thought the 356 colour would look period. Drives me mad sharing a garage though.

Fun to see the bullet holes in the doors on your page. My MGA came from Texas rather than California hence was riddled with bullet holes. I kept one on display in the inner wing for fun.

1300 Super


but for modern times I will be building it to a 1600 insurance companies know we can't get the 1300 P/C to easy any more and that extra 300cc will not have me running the boy racer Saxo's off the road will it..

plus I have a stack of 1600 cc p/c sets on the shelf..the engine is already done anyway and it's under the stairs..on a skate board I just don't let the wife go in there

1600 has more power, but the 1300 would be nice and cute too.
You wouldn't be in a hurry anyway, driving a car like that.

Just love those old and simple clockworks... Still impressed with an old Opel engine I had in a Chevette. 1200 cc, cast iron head.... side camshaft... It was a design from the 60's I think. a true miracle of simplicity.

I only own old cars.. I have a modern T5 VW van new one for my work, it's nice sure..

but the basic of the Porsche is the best.. my lux car is the Mercedes I have a 280SE 2.8ltr 1971 stacked lights one. That has a few toys in it.. The other two Porsches are quite simple also. I should stop buying cars really.. I have 4 at the moment.
