Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner Motor Repair

Looking on YouTube, these motors seem to be a standard commodity item bought in by many manufacturers.
My Parkside vacuum motor's front bearing has collapsed. I can't get any further with the disassembly than these photographs:

I'm sure the replacement is a £1-50 bearing from Bearing Boys if I could get at it. Anyone successfully disassembled - and more importantly - re-assembled one of these? I'm sure there are some one-way moulded plastic clips lurking there somewhere.

The one screw with the 'tamper proof' Torx deep in a recess failed to defeat me!

Tried poking, prodding, levering them as the very first step. Seem to be just moulded in depressions. Might try attacking them with a drill bit.
Shone a light down the four holes and explored with a pick with similar lack of success. They look more like the back of moulded clips that might lock into the metal body I think.

The answer is to remove the brushes and their carriers to expose through screws.:

Waste of time though as once apart found the plastic bearing housing was trashed. I've removed the motor and modified the fan housing and I'm using it as a bulk pre-filter. I'm temporarily using my 'good' car cleaning vacuum to provide the suck. Works adequately for now, but the flow is very restricted.

Can you not build up the housing with JB Weld-alike? I did that on Bosch's finest Fisher-Price My First Barbie Lawnmower, I'ts survived another 6 years so far... And would probably be more powerful running from a pair of AA batteries

That's effectively what I have done. Removed the motor and retained all the internals including the internal spiral 'cyclone'. Left the bag off.
Tried it with a domestic vacuum drawing from its outlet. It successfully collected all the woodchips from a circular saw and planer and most of the dust from a belt sander with only a tablespoonful of fine dust collected in the domestic vacuum. Lost a lot of suction from the temporary lashup, so I will try to improve that first.
Used it before lunch but put it all away so didn't take a photograph.

It has been very noisy from new, so that bearing was probably a factory fitted failure.
