wet blasting

any one used any of the attachments for the end of pressure washers??

i was thinking of trying one on a car shell.

i have 2 3000psi washers 6.5 hp petrol driven and was going to link my diy pressure pot at about 5psi to the sand attachment

the bigger one looks better but unsure if i could make a venturi my self, not sure on nozzle sizes, angles, on attachments them selves.

i would like to go diy so any help appreciated

One was included with my pressure washer
I didn't use it untill about ten years ago, though it looked a fecking
terrible idea[bit like all the other attachments that came with it, that I still haven't tried], then a mate mentioned he was using one on bodywork.
He had a system with a corrugated steel sheet and a space heater to dry the sand and was reusing the sand.

I bought[well the sand pit place only flogged lorryloads so there was no charge] sand and blasted my landy wheels, worked really well think I used about 50kg of a pretty sharp sand to blast 6 wheels, took all the paint and rust off them.
Quite pleased with it, I have used it a few times since.
It's the only nozzeley thing with the pressure washer I haven't pulled apart, so can't say how or where the venturi works, I take it it must be after the water leaves the hi press' bit.

there verry efective there mainly used on buildings stone cleaning where there hasnt to be any dust . it doesnt matter about all the wet sand though i sold all my shotblasting gear and was going to get one for my power washer about 50 quid i think and have a go but got another large compresor and gear to make a new pot cheap so never did. u will be able to use kiln dried sand on it . 3 quid a bag should give a nice finish

cheer will give it a go, sand was the first thought but found a supply of crushed glass that works out to £4 per 25 kilos.

I tried out a friend's wet blaster when I needed to clean up an axle. I think it makes a lot of sense for things which are OK to get wet. No dust, and water is a much more efficient medium than air for delivering energy.
