What air ratchet?

I am on the lookout for a 3/8" air ratchet, can anyone recommend anything decent?

I know that with impact wrenches you largely get what you pay for, and the cheaper ones can be quite useless, is it the same with these?

Air supply is plentiful but I don't want to break the bank here, will a cheapy one do or how much should I be looking to spend?

These things are so cheap these days you can take a chance on a cheap one.

As long as it goes round and you keep it oiled then I don't see a problem.

If you were working on a production line then that would maybe be a dfferent story.

Please make sure you let us know the first you are in tight spot and trap your hand against something. Done so many times where the bolt is already too tight to move the ratchet. Only ever happens to me when I'm already at full stretch.

Are you after a high power one or a low power one?
I've got a snap on one thats low torque(just a nut runner really) that i might be selling.
I'll dig it out and check it out if you're interested.

I have about twelve air ratchets in total from snap on to a lidl one, the best I find are the two Ingersol Rands one 1/2 one 3/8 I got them from America because here they are about £250 -£300 and from the US I got them for about 50 60 £each, they will usually undo 10mm bell housing bolts with no probs
But my 3/8 cordless battery snap on takes some beating for portability.

last time i used mine was 12 years ago to build a kitcar it was bought for 35 quid
