What airline couplers?

Planning on putting new quick connects on all my tools.
Are PCL still a decent brand or is there something better? all my QC's bloody leak!

I don't know whether they are the best, but I've recently changed to PCL XF fittings & I found Screwfix had the best price, about half the price of Machine Mart. I didn't try the engineers suppliers though as the price seemed good for the few I wanted.

I had some nice Swedish ones.....8 air-lines altogether but after 15 years'ish they were just about done.......the price of shall we say proper one's fair made my etes water......thought what the hell try the 1's from Lidil........
3 years in and still work great.....mine get used every day as in a proper workshop.......bought a load more for spares when they were next on offer at Lidal.......have enought to c me out now.........hahaha...

I have not found anything that really lasts apart from PCL. It's necessary to bite the bullet and pay for them.

I suggest the euro style, don't go for the really common type often referred to as pcl as they're highly restricted.

I use Rectus 21 on all my Argon/mix welding hoses, Excellent kit, Small, neat and well made, All my airline quick release fittings are Schrader, Had them over 50 years and still being made,, Got to tell you something.

Yes I have genuine rectus 20 and 21 on my machines. Excellent connectors.

i would just use the PCL ones as that what everyone seems to use, nothing worse than taking a tool somewhere and having to swap the fittings or have an adapter. or starting a new job and having to buy 20 or so new fittings.

you could just buy pcl female connectors and cheaper males. ive a combination of genuine pcl ans=d machine mart own brand after I tricked the kid in the shop into thinking they were all the same.

This is for my own shop so no issue with taking tools anywhere. Could always knock up an adapter anyway.

I just have a y connector on the end of the 10mm bore hose with a standard pcl connector and a large flow connector fitted I use both

Some of the cheap connectors are mild steel and wear quickly, good ones are hardened.

PCL XF and as already said it's worth buying the genuine ones. The cheap one always rust way quicker.

It's dead easy to make an adapter. I have adapters both ways.

I used to the standard pcl ones but but now changed to pcl xf as they have larger air flow and compatible with the cheaper euro style.and made a couple of converters incase i need to use the older type.
