So.its a bulkhead I need to search for.4mm push-in fitting but that's not a bulkhead type. You might get it to seal into a tapped thread but doubtful in a 3mm plastic wall.
So it's a bulkhead I need to search for.
What is it for?
What is it for? I hope nothing important. Modifying a box like that is generally a bad idea, it will crack or leak. Any force on the hose and the plastic will bend, contents on floor.
I cant remember if clip lid containers are HDPE or PP but either will have too much creep for a bulkhead seal unless the seal was very large area.
Alternative, if you dont need the wide opening lid, a petrol tank for small tools etc.. many have a moulded or threaded section with suitable reinforcement for a hose barb.
Another option if it needs to be clear, is solvent weld acrylic sheets with a thicker peice, where you want to tap a thread.
Cheers Bob. I have 6mm OD 4mmID pipe though but thanks anyway.I have a few 3mm bulkhead fittings, if you need one pm me an address and I will stick it in a Jiffy bag.

Yes, could have looked it up but it may just be an example and its for something else...The big writing on the photograph saying 'printer potty' might be a bit of a clue:
I am.using sublimation ink.Yes, could have looked it up but it may just be an example and its for something else...
So it appears Epson printers waste so much ink, that they require an external container
We had an Epson a long time ago, the print head continously blocked up. It seems the answer is, waste lots of ink...
Much better to bin it and get a printer where, the print head is built in to the cartridge. Fairly expensive for ink, but I believe there are ways to refil them cheapily and only when the quality starts to degrade.
I would not to use a plastic clip lock for this. If it goes wrong, ink will go everwhere. Repurpose a metal container that you can tap a thread into.
