Ok Just been doing my first tig welding... what a pleasure few issues but not for here
My current welding helmet is struggling... flickering.. not switching on .... with tig at even medium current-60a or so, but is fine & more than adequate for mig/mma (unknown brand, label fell of a long while ago) Given its performance to date I guess it is an age/ not spec-ed for tig/ rather than a "quality" issue....not pro kit either tho... I'm not made of ££££
So what to go for specifically for tig, not looking to spend more than I need, but quite happy to pay to get a "decent" mid-range helmet
Was looking at weldequip's esab origo, but some seem to have issues with them? what about the SWP in the shop? or a second hand speedglas of fleabay?
if 2nd hand... what to look out for/avoid
cheers
