What do they call these 'motors', 'compressors' boxes sitting on top?

I pick up one of these, at an auction. It was offered at a rude-to-refuse price and looked clean and tidy.

The receiver was cheap at the asking price.

Turns out, 1 motor running fine and making pressure, the second motor sounds like it's trying but not well, the third motor is not at all happy.
I'm hoping a rebuild for motor 2 will make it better, no idea what will happen with motor 3, but it'll make a reasonable compressor with 2 motors and if I get the third running, great. It's really quiet.
Still hunting down a Hydrovane but they don't come up often.

This all happened just before 'she who makes lumpy custard' decided we should move home, to a place with NO garage! So I'm squeezed into a caravan until I can build a better place.
Anyhoos, my real question is ...

What are these motors/compressors called and does anyone have any ideas where you might find a service kit or rebuild kit?

I already own a little 20-litre quiet compressor, styled on the Bambi, by Peak Scientific. So even if motor three is dead, a frankenpressor will be reborn from them.

They're so-called "oil-free" compressors, and very quiet. Are all three motors running?
You should find a start capacitor in each of the three plastic boxes. It's possible that one has failed.
If the motor runs but not making pressure, it's probably the valves.

I've had a couple of Bambi silent compressors. One rescued from a paint shop, so heavily abused, oil never changed, probably the wrong oil used and, cosequently, heavy carbon build up.
They're fun to strip.

But, but. They've got an oil sump?
Is that all they're called Oil-free compressors?
I can't find anything on 'tinternet about servicing them.

It's been overheated, the oil in the dead for now motor was quite dark, the one with the cough was dark but the good one was quite clean.
Had a broken wheel, but looked quite new, think it'd fallen over and run, but no-one knows.

Yes definitely worth fixing up me think, even if I have only 2 motors and my Bambi esk machine plumbed in, it'll be a pleasant bit of kit.

Silent air make these compressor or atleast sells them. They sell the correct oil, as above they are just fridge pumps.

Clarke refer to them as "Shhh" compressors, as per the label on the side of the receiver, if that helps to narrow down the search for parts. The same compressor unit is used on at least three different models.

The manual includes a parts diagram for the compressor units, and receivers.
