I have been assigned the task of respraying one of the kids bed frames.
It is a metal framed cabin bed, currently in a gloss silver and the domestic management has decided that it needs to be white.
I have no idea of the type of finish that is currently on there, which leads me to this post.
I have in mind that flatting the existing paintwork down, and giving a good wipe over with solvent to clean off any residue of paint / polish, before spraying with a suitable white gloss topcoat.
What solvent, and also what type of paint to use, not knowing what is on there. I have seen how incompatible paint types can lead to all sorts of issue.
I have not sprayed anything except for celly car paint around 10-15 years ago, so completely out of touch with what to use and where to buy it.
Any advice welcome
