What size pipe for air circuit

My shed is roughly 6 metres long ,i have a large compressor outside that i got when an uncle died, and i want to run a copper pipe the length of the shed with a few outlets off it. I was going to use 3/4" but would 1/2" do just as well ?

I use ordinary 15mm copper pipe from Wickes. 22mm will slow the airflow down and give a larger surface area, both of which help with the cooling of the air and allow water to condense out.

I have a similar set up but the compressor is in the garage next to my workshop. I ran 22mm from receiver up to ceiling height through the wall and around the other garage, I sloped it to the end with a 15mm drop leg with a tap, then where I needed air I ran a 15mm drop from the 22mm from the top of the pipe to prevent water, this also incorporated a tap at the bottom with a tee at the required height feeding a 1/2" filter regulator. I have no noticeable pressure drop from compressor to the regulator over and approx 6m distance and very little moisture collects in the filter bowl as most can be expelled from the drop legs.
I used the correct john guest blue nylon pipe but copper may be better for cooling.

3/4 or 22 mm copper the best. less velocity of air down the pipe and a bigger cooling surface then drop off in 15mm

Thats what i'll go for then, the 22mm copper. What has me annoyed though is i got rid of a load of 1" steel pipe last year, it would have been ideal.

Just get the john guest push fittings as they work with nylon and copper and you can easily fit it up and make changes in the future, they also do proper water trap drop leg tees

Don't know rated pressure, but soldered properly will be well above what you require.

try to match the size of pipe exiting your tank, the bigger the better

there is no point using 22mm copper if its only coming through an 8mm fitting off the tank, you will also want to put a flexible hose between the compressor and your rigid copper, braided hydraulic pipes are excellent, again internal diameter is key
